This HP Smart driver, from the 2nd post above, worked for my HP Envy 7645. PITA to find and load, but I got it working. The screens aren't as useful as the original, and I haven't tried all the functions, but scan and print both work, and so does the ink level utility.

Epson ET-2700 Printer Installation For Windows
- When you choose to download the latest updated drivers and software, go to Epson’s official website and select the suitable file according to your OS.
- Note that your downloaded file will always be a Zip file you have to exact files to install it in your windows.
- You have to sign in with the administrator’s username and password to download the files.
- Go to Start menu-Windows specific drivers- Maintenance tab, there will be three tabs namely Drivers, Utilities, and Firmware.
- Click on the Epson ET-2700 driver tab to download it.
- The downloaded file will be shown in the Download folder or
you can change the path, where exactly the files have to be stored. - Click the .exe file to install the drivers and software in your Windows PC.
- Go to the Device Manager Device Manager Menu.
- A list of hardware categories will be displayed there.
- Now move to the Epson ET-2700 driver tab, click update printer driver for Epson ET-2700.
- The installation process begins; wait for the process to complete.
- Once the drivers and software installation process is done, your system asks you to restart the windows.
- Restart your device and check whether your system is updated with the new updated software or not, if not update it again properly.
- Ensure the Auto-update is always on.
- To change the settings in your windows, go to Settings- PC settings-Update and recovery windows update.
- Choose the option Install updates automatically so that your windows will update automatically when connected with the network.

- Choose a workplace for your Epson ET-2700 printer.
- Make sure the printer is near the power supply.
- Connect the power cable to the backside of the printer and press the power button.
- Open the ink tank that is on the back of the printer.
- Remove the tank stopper to fill the ink inside.
- Please remember to protect your surface from ink spills.
- Pour ink carefully into the appropriate ink tank.
- Replace the stopper once filled.
- Switch to the printer and follow the instructions on the screen that asks.
- Press and hold the Ok button for 3 seconds.
- It takes almost 20 minutes to refill ink.
- After the screen asks for the message “ink is already filled in”
it will ask you to choose your preferred language. - Select language, date, time, and country using the available arrow buttons.
- Click the ok button and the printer will load information to load paper.
- Pull the paper input tray up and place the paper for printing.
- Your printing is now ready to print.
